2019 tax return: Campaign opens on April 20th, 2020

The online subscription deadline for the individual 2019 tax return and its schedules is set, depending on the domiciliation department, at June 4th, June 8th or June 11th, 2020 midnight. The paper return must be filed by midnight on June 12th.

The calendar of 2019 tax return subscription dates (and, if applicable, its IFI schedule) is as follows:

Online statement:

  • Departments No 01 to 19 and residents abroad: Thursday, June 4th, 2020 before midnight
  • Departments No 20 to 54: Monday, June 8th, 2020 before midnight
  • Departments No 55 to 974/976: Thursday, June 11th, 2020 before midnight

Paper statement (including French residents abroad): Friday, June 12th, 2020 before midnight

It should be remembered that online reporting is in principle mandatory. Taxpayers who do not have Internet access in their primary residence are exempt.

The online reporting service (impots.gouv.fr) opens on April 20th.

Taxpayers who have reported their 2018 income in paper format will receive the 2019 forms between April 20th and mid-May.

Tax households that have been taxed, last year, only on income pre-filled by the administration and which did not report any change in circumstances (address, family status or creation of a deposit at source) in 2019 will be eligible for the tacit reporting of their 2019 income (Law 2019-1479 of 28-12-2019 art. 155). For this purpose, they will receive an e-mail (2018 income declared online) or postal (2018 income declared by "paper") informing them of the steps to be taken.
